Projek Bekalan Air Alternatif ke KLIA, Sepang, Selangor Darul Ehsan
An alternative water supply scheme to support existing and future water demand at KLIA and its surrounding areas to overcome a supply disruption risk from Semenyih Water Treatment Plant.
An off-river storage scheme, the scope includes:
- Construction of a river gate, 140 MLd capacity Intake Pump Station and associated ancillary works at 1.6km downstream of the confluence of Sg. Chinchang and Sg. Labu
- Construction of a 30m high off-river storage Earth Fill Dam of 9 mcm storage capacity with an impounding area of 70ha and associated ancillary structures
- Laying of 1km length of 1200mm dia. MSCL raw water pumping pipeline from the River Intake to the Dam.
- O&M to fill up the Dam from the River Intake Pump Station.
