Procurement, Construction and Commissioning of Raw Water Supply Project to Rapid (Pamer) at Johor Darul Ta’zim
A raw water transfer and supply project to abstract water from Sg. Sedili Besar for a new 72 mcm Seluyut Dam for supply to the existing Sg. Lebam Dam and a new Terminal Reservoir (TR). It serves to alleviate the supply shortfall in Sg. Lebam Dam and provides the TR with retention storage for continuous gravitational supply to a water treatment plant in Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC). The new dam is also being utilized to augment the shortfall of Sg. Layang Dam in overcoming the water crisis in parts of Johor.
Implemented by PETRONAS Refinery and Petrochemical Corporation Sdn Bhd (PRPC), with M&E works catering for 260 MLd capacity, the works component includes:
- Construction of a 520 MLd capacity Intake and Pump Station at Sg. Sedili Besar.
- Construction of a 72 mcm capacity off-river storage earth dam across Sg. Seluyut comprises of a main dam, saddle dam, 1,007 hectares of impounding area, 520 MLd capacity Booster Pump Station, Admin Building, Switch Station and other support buildings.
- Laying of 71km length of 1300mm dia. MSCL. twin pipelines; 19km of 1800mm dia. and 0.7km of 800mm dia. pipeline.
- Construction of a 130 ML capacity R.C. Terminal Reservoir at Bukit Panjang.
